This all-natural soy wax was specifically developed and formulated for melts and tarts. Wax Melt and Tart Soy Wax, also called 494, has excellent scent throw, exhibits vibrant colors, and releases easily from molds. This wax uses a 100% soy and botanical oil formula that creates a smooth appearance. Due to the high amount of botanical additives, this wax blend is not designed for use as a candle wax and won’t burn with a wick.
Melt and Tart can be used with our tart molds and wax melt clamshell packaging.
Melting Temperature: 125°F (+/-5°F)
Pour Temperature: 160°F (+/-5°F)
Fragrance Load (°F): 5-10%
Cooling (°F): Ambient temperatures (70-75°F)
Intructions:
Heat wax to around 185°
Add dye if desired and mix thoroughly
Add candle fragrance oil if desired and mix thoroughly
Cool to approximately 160° and pour into clamshells or tart molds slowly. Experimentation is recommended to determine optimal pouring temperature.
